Orange Store

Around noon I get a call from my little one, says, Hello Mommy, how are you? good & you? I am good too... Mommy I called to say that my Daddy & I need to go to the Orange store. We have to get some thing from there.... You mean the Home Depot? uhmm, yes the Orange store. What are that you need from there? You got to wait, we haven't bought them yet & you have to come home & see them. So, I am heading home to see what is it that he is getting from orange store. :)

I already warrned you reader(s) on my first blog that it will mainly be about Arvand... boaring, haa?

But He is not, in fact my house gets so blah & boaring when he goes asleep. I like to see him wondering around me when I am home- I enjoy his presence very much.

Yeappppy, it is Friday at last & weekend with my family!

have a nice weekend & Happy Mothers Day to all wonderful moms out there & to those to be a mom!

Happy Mother's Day

How sweet, how thoughtful and Kind one can be!!! Heading out to work this morning, the only thing in my thoughts & head was work & the things need to be taken care when I get there (office). When I got to my office/desk, things changed. Saw this envelope, sealed & nicely says my name on it. with some curiosity & wonder combined with some worried thought, I carefully opened & first thing I see, it says " Happy Mother's Day". Wow!!! what a difference one Second makes and followed with sweet note inside, put a radiant bright color on my yet half sleepy face & woke me up all the way. Thank you "Friend", This means a whole world to me that you take good note of special days/events. One of my Best wishes to you among many is "hope to see you as a mom one day- one day, one day soon I hope that I can be see her baby too". I know you will make a wonderful mom.

BUT I LIKE

will he ever give up!?
After saying good bye to the friends at the end of the day, we saw our next door neighbor, who is a sweet lady & always makes a conversation with everyone & specially my little one. so the routing neighboring talks, my son asked if he could go to her house, she said if your mommy says OK, sure, she knows me little bet, so I said no baby, ask her to come to our house, then his face lit up & asking her to join us at my house... she said some other time ... but will he ever give up? He loves having people over, enjoys socializing alot. Then he said BUT I LIKE you to Come to my house NOW... back & forth.. finnaly he accepted the later visit by our nieghbore...
Impossible!
A little while passed, & everyone taking a some thing to eat & my son the 3 years old also had piece of pie, he just dropped few crumbs on the carpet...
I noticed & about to turn & picked it up, he stated "Be careful & stop making a mess, I just keep picking up after you. I am tired of picking up after you". Since he is talking in my native language, no one can understand except his dad & I... I just said, really? He said mom, you know you shouldn't mess up the house, right? uhmm... Yes, you are right Mommy, but why are you doing? A Big Cute, Lovely, mischievous smile on the little face, can you really not love that? Impossible!!!

Don't walk

Don't walk on my Carpet!
My Nephew, his friends, hubby & my son all are sitting around, another friend is joining us, just walked in and at the entrance he got stopped by a 3 years old. No one talking, but house of laughter... apologizing to the friend who just arrived & was trying to walk in to sit down. My son stopped him right the entrance of the house, " Don't walk on my carpet with your shoes on, no no no, take your shoes off first then come in". We all burst in laughter & I kept asking the friend to come in, its OK, but no, the 3 years old keeps saying NO, IT IS NOT OKAY to walk on my Carpet with your shoes on- it makes it dirty & brings germs to my house. Still trying to comfort the guest & apologizing to him... he replied "it is OK, he is right, I should have taken off my shoes", " You trained him very well" , my Replay was " aparently not well enough to not to stop guest at the door..." all these while we are still laughing... thank god he had a great sense of hummer.

Simple is better!
My son still asleep, thought its good to finish up making Strawberry Chocolate deep that I wanted to do, specially expecting guest. I backed my Razzlpberry pie first, while its cooling, started on the strawberries... my plan of using two diff. chocolate (white & dark chocolate didn't work, so decided just go simple, one tune & one color). Turned out to be great. Simple is better Most of the time. I guess life is complecated, why not go simple when you can?
My guests loved my backing/cooking so did I :) Wouldn't you? Just look at it. sorry no pic of my backed cake- ate it all up b4 remembering to take snap shot of it. Next time!

Handy Man

Planted !
Got home late, after dinner played ball with my son while his daddy fixing our vagie garden then after a cup of delightful hot tea I planted the flowers that were for pot. Came in, my hubby wanted to run vacuum, he started, only he was in middle of living room, he said why did you unplugged it from
wall? Well, all three of us looking at each other, not knowing what is going on & why it just turned itself off.... well surprise, surprise, the vacuum dead & worst thing is, he vacuumed half of the areas needed to be vacumed....well, nothing could be done... we gave up, sat down & watched TV a bit...then he mopped the ceramic area and the next day, I was thinking New Vacuum cleaner but we talked & he decided to open the Vacuum cleaner apart & see if he can resurrects it. Handy Man in a house a must have in every house for every lucky women :)

Sale! Makes my day

Headed to Walmart after few hours in hot sunny day at arboretum.
He was tired, but we made it. Managed to get what I wanted, basically some flower for my garden/pots to plan, Love them - specially found out at the check out they were 50% OFF.

Arbor Day worth the traffic?

Bunch is beautiful & individual stands out

To pick or not to...

Arbor Day

Saturday, the Arbor Day, we decided to go to Arboretum. My son & I went to arboretum & left daddy at home working on our Vegetable garden. Normally the driving to this place would have taken ~15 min but b/c there were so many events going on around University that day, it took us about one hour.... we visited few of the many vendors & farmers, bee keepers & Local companies that participated in the Arbor day event (they were almost closing when we arrived there). We took a peek on what were still at display (bought a little vise made of Gourd and had painted horses on), and then headed toward the beautiful arboretum.... Flowers, fish in the creek, he had a blast & I enjoyed seeing him happy.

Fantastic! Did you see the Movie too?

Day at the Museum
It is Friday at last. Worked longer hours first four days of the week to take off early on Friday. I had planed to attend a friend's Art Museum exhibition at the opening day... fought the traffic to get home to go with my hubby & son with one car. What a nice day to be at museum or at the museum garden (Garden is like a heaven). The art work by this Iranian friend is AMAZING. I have seen lots of his art works at his house and in his previous exhibitions "the Messenger", but get this, he painted all 36 Ottoman empire's king's pictures on Ostrich, Duck eggs and some others on chicken eggs. His current exhibition "Istanbul-Istanbul" is the exhibition features seventy-two painted ostrich eggs and sixty smaller painted eggs, as well as other decorated masterpieces... in one word, Fantastic!!!
Also there was a Jewelry exhibition, & yes, my favorites & yes, were outstandingly beautiful. Gold Trashcan! imagine that!
My son became so shy of people & started hiding behind his mommy at first....but had wonderful time since as I mentioned above beside inside museum the outside of Museum was gorgeous, he shot quite few pictures. Came back in ... During one of Turkish presentation about Istanbul he fell asleep & woke up afterward asking did the MOVIE finished? (they has Slides about Istanbul...) and asked few of friends if they had attended to the Movie as well. He speaks our native language fluently as well he speaks English, so he went & making a conversation with this Turkish professor who came down from New York & had the said presentation above - about Istanbul regarding the exhibition- In our native language, & yes, he understood most of what my son said ... all and all was a wonderful Friday. Recommend to visit this Exhibition - Pure Work of Awesome art work.
